Zoe Bowick (dancer) Has been a member of Kinesis Project for 3 years and has danced with Murray Spalding Mandalas, Dance Into Light (Dina Denis), and Valerie Norman's Vandance. In her spare time, Zoe is a founding partner and director of Park Slope Fitness Collective in Brooklyn. She has performed pieces by Paul Taylor and James Clouser in addition to choreographing and directing an original production including live music and dance, fully funded through a grant from the university of Arizona Department of Multicultural Programs and Services.. Zoe received a degree in dance from the University of Arizona in 2002

Cary McWilliam (dancer) received her BFA from the University of Michigan. Since then she has danced with Kevin Ware, Anita Cheng Dance, Rosa Mei Dance, Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company and Artichoke Dance Company. |

Madeline Hoak has been dancing with Kinesis Project since January of 2007. She has had the pleasure of performing with the company at the Merce Cunningham Studios and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She is happily in her third year as a dancer, aerialist, and teaching artist in NYC. Past performances include work with the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company at Joyce SoHo, Summer Solstice in Times Square, and LIU. Her aerial work has led to performances at SLAM, South Street Sea Port, and Embody Studios in Brooklyn. She is looking forward to debut performances at Soundance studios in December and Abron Arts Center in January with her brand new, yet-to-be-named, dance and live music collaborative company.

PAST COMPANY MEMBERS Jared Cardon (dancer) was a member of the Kinesis Project for 3 years. Jared has a fondness for dance on film and has created various works for the camera since 1999. Jared has danced in Arizona, Utah and San Francisco professionally. While he has been in New York Jared has been working in the film industry. He has been a camera-crew member, Director of Photography, a Director, a screenwriter and has edited many videos and film for dance companies. Jared is very pleased to be working with Melissa and is excited about his work with The Kinesis Project. Jared graduated from Arizona State University in 2002 with a B.F.A. in Choreography Gina Bashour (dancer) Is a founding member of the Kinesis Project. Most recently she was seen onstage with Ashley Leite. Additionally, Gina performs internationally with Palissimo Dance Theatre, for which she is the Rehearsal Director. She has performed under the direction of Alberto Denis, Fly By Night, Skip Costa's COREmovementProject, Thin Line (an Off-Broadway dance drama), and Ellen Stokes Shadle Danceworks. She has also performed works by various artists, including Carmen De Lavallade, Sean Curran, Joyce Trisler Danscompany, and Marlice Yearby. Gina's own choreography and company, GiBa in motion, performs throughout New York and New England. Gina is currently working in collaboration with Teresa Fellion on an interactive dance theater project for elementary schools, encouraging and educating children through innovative storytelling. Gina graduated magna cum laude from Adelphi University with a BFA in dance.

GUEST ARTISTS
Erin Reck (dancer/choreographer) is artistic director of Torque Dance and originally from Houston, Texas. She graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle, and has performed with Li-Chaio Ping, Jody Oberfelder Dance Projects, Cava/Parker Dance Company, Kinesis Project, Karl Anderson, Molly Rabinowitz and Lynn Marie Ruse. She assisted in creating and directing Sal Anthony's Movement Salon, a dance and movement center in New York City. She presently works for John Jay College Theater, coordinates the Midtown Main Event of the Dancenow Festival, and continues to choreograph and dance with Torque and with other choreographers. She recently returned from dancing with Hope Stone Dance Company in Houston, Texas.
Jennifer Harmer (dancer) is a founding member of Misnomer Dance Theater. Since graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she has worked with Sara Pearson/Patrik Widrig & Co., Mark Dendy, Tina Croll, Axis of Eve, Dance Anonymous, and has filmed a ballet video for Finis Jhung. She is currently a senior company member of Murray Spalding Movement Arts and reigns as The Baronass von Harmer with Lady Rizo & The Assets. Her choreography has been shown at Vital Theatre, Lot 61, the Fringe Festival, Battery Park, in the public schools, and as a mobile installation piece on the streets of New York.
Blair Boone (performer) a native of Houston, Texas, left home to pursue a Bachelors and Masters degree in Music Performance with honors (Voice and Piano) and French Language, Literature and Culture at Syracuse University. Blair has also studied at the Strasbourg Conservatory of Music and The University of Arts and Sciences in Strasbourg, France.
Benjamin E. Oyzon (performer) is from Black Rock City. He is an actor, dancer, martial artist, performance artist, firespinner, Pilates instructor and sometimes called MaKaKo. He had the pleasure of performing with such companies as Red Dive, Forces of Nature, the Burning Man Fire Conclave, Groove Hoops, Dance Anonymus and Exploding Moment. ONE LOVE.

Sophocles Papavasilopoulos (Composer) has written music for a variety of venues and media including theater, opera, film, video, dance, video games, and the concert stage. His concert music has been presented by ensembles such as Alarm Will Sound, International Contemporary Ensemble, Non-Zero, Avalon String Quartet, and Avian Orchestra as well as by the renown Greek clarinetist Lefteris Bournias. His music has been featured at such New York venues as Weill Recital Hall, Tonic, Merkin Concert Hall, Galapagos, HERE Art Center, the Flea Theater, and the Skirball Center and has also been heard at the Seoul Museum of Art in Korea. |

Cast of My Steps Towards You Ali Rodell (performer) has been studying martial arts for the past 12 years. Most of his training is in an Okinawan style of Karate called ShoRinRyu ShiDoKan though he also has trained in KazeArashiRyu Aiki JuJutsu. He is the only Chinese speaking Scottish muslim martial artist you will ever meet.

Rieko Yamanaka (performer) grew up in Scarsdale, NY and graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College with a BA in Psychology. She has enjoyed dancing and modeling for a wide variety of NYC artists, including Noamie Lafrance, Nina Buisson, Sidra Bell, Jenny Rocha, Howard Schatz, Jermaine Browne, Luam Keflezgy, and Denise Dalfo. Acrobatics, martial arts, and aerial arts have always fascinated Rieko; she would like to thank Melissa and the company for this opportunity to experiment with these elements. |
