In a playful experiment of elephants and unsaid sheepishness, three women parry toss cover up the thoughts that might be better ....said. I should have said the other thought A woman is alone at her desk, writing in a journal....as she begins to chronicle the events of the day, her journal comes to life....pages zip backwards, and the words un-write themselves. Principles Pleasure is, well, personal. Everyone has their own idea of how to create is and where it comes from. 3LD Theatre 80 Greenwich St, South of Rector St. DEAD CITY by Shelia Callaghan (Sheila's website...) June 1-25 Kinesis Project dates June 2 Post-Performance &16th (Bloomsday!) Pre-Performance Paired in specific evenings with Sheila Callaghan's riff on James Joyce's Ulysses, Zoe Bowick and Jared Cardon will perform their duet My Steps Toward You, Kinesis Project's riff on Homer's Odyssey - Produced by New Georges, Dead City will be the third production in a brand-new theater: 3-Legged Dog's 3LD Art & Technology Center, at Greenwich and Rector streets in Lower Manhattan. It's the first new cultural institution to open in the process of revitalizing Lower Manhattan. So it's the perfect venue for a play that at its heart is a celebration of the city. Strangely enough, both the playwright and the choreogrpaher realized during their seperate processes that they were responding to the tradgedy of Sept 11 by celebrating their City and expressions of its epic power.
